Mathew O’Connor

PT, DPT, OCS

Matt attended Boston University for his both undergraduate studies in Athletic Training and his graduate work for his Doctor of Physical Therapy. He also completed the MGH Institute of Health Professions Clinical Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, after which he became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Matt chose a career as a physical therapist because he wanted to work with patients individually to address their pain and reach their goals, whether that be walking down the street without pain or competing in a local triathlon. He uses clinical literature to educate his patients and give them the tools they need to succeed. Matt believes in empowering patients and helping them fully understand their treatment plan and options for long term success.

Matt is an ultramarathon runner, triathlete, and hiker. He’s passionate about treating swimmers, cyclists, runners, hikers, and any other endurance athlete whose goal is to be strong, healthy, and confident in their chosen sports.

Matt loves reading, especially books about science fiction, fantasy, and even behavioral economics. He also enjoys cooking and baking, and is happy to talk recipes, recipe developers, and your latest sourdough bread creations.
