GPT Greenwood Physical Therapy is a physical therapy practice founded, owned, and operated by Michael Osaki with two locations in the North Seattle area. Since 2003, we offer expert physical therapy services from highly qualified health care practitioners to the Seattle community.
We strive to understand how we can make our client’s quality of life better, whether it be lifting their baby up pain free, making it easier to get up from a chair, getting back on the soccer field, or running a marathon.
In addition to each provider being a board-certified, licensed professional, many of our providers have obtained specialized certifications within their scope of practice. Examples include, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, Pilates-based rehabilitation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, pregnancy and post-partum programs, evaluation protocols such as the McKenzie method, lymphatic drainage techniques, and many more.
We treat a wide range of conditions and ailments, including but not limited to: knee pain, neck and back pain, spinal injuries, nerve injuries, pelvic floor weakness, sports injuries, chronic pain, post-operative rehabilitation, postural dysfunction, and auto and work injury. We are also able to provide treatment to expecting and post-partum mothers.
At your first appointment, we will work with you to understand your goals and lifestyle, perform a thorough evaluation, and work with you to create a treatment plan that works for you.
We offer one-on-one care with licensed physical therapists to improve your physical well-being.
After we assess your problem and understand your goals, we use a diverse array of rehabilitative approaches such as: Pilates-based rehabilitation, advanced manual therapy, sports medicine, vestibular and concussion care, spine rehab, pediatrics, lymphatic drainage, ASTYM, Kinesiotaping, pelvic floor rehabilitation, visceral manipulation, pre- and post-natal care, and the McKenzie protocol to name a few.
We are accessible. We understand that you have a busy lifestyle – that’s why we’re open until 7:30 pm during the week and keep office hours on Saturdays. We have two convenient locations in North Seattle, one in Greenwood and one in the Ravenna neighborhood.
We don’t use PT aides or assistants for our patient care; every appointment and one-on-one treatment session will be administered by one of our physical therapists, each of whom are highly qualified with years of experience.
Our clinicians all have diverse interests and approaches and work as a team. When you come to GPT, you have access to all our therapists and specialists. It is not uncommon to see one therapist for one issue and a different one for a separate issue. We do our best to match you up with the best therapist for your condition.
We are not a large chain, owned by a private equity group, a publicly traded company, or affiliated with a hospital. We live in the same community we work in and believe we have a responsibility to give back to our community. In addition to sponsoring run clubs, jog-a-thons, school auctions, and ski training events, our staff picks a local organization each quarter to support and donates a percentage of our proceeds toward that organization.
We accept most major insurance, workman’s compensation, as well as Visa and MasterCard.

Consistent with the PT staff, the office staff is outstanding. They talk to you, not the computer, they are friendly, professional, and they make sure that scheduling and billing go without a hitch.
We are not contracted with Medicare or Medicaid programs, with the exception of Regence MedAdvantage.
We do not accept third party auto insurance claims.
*We accept Visa and Mastercard for your convenience. Please call our office if you are unsure about your insurance coverage. Thank you!
